With the OTS design, the cable is replaced by a carrying lane profile of steel, built in a tunnel which carries bogies that constitute the wheels and engine of the transportation units. The bogies are connected with passenger cabins hanging underneath the bogies, outside the track tunnel.
The tunnel protects the bogie with its wheels, engines and utilities against adverse weather conditions, as it incorporates the necessary cables and equipment for electrical power supply, control and communication.
