Track Design

The bogie tunnel is supported by a construction of steel bows which are mounted on rigid concrete platforms. The distance between the supporting columns is 60 meters. If larger crossover distances are required, alternate carrying systems can be selected similar to crossover bows used in larger bridges.

In order to allow for necessary clearance, the bottom of the carrying construction is positioned at 8.0 meters above ground level. The height can be easily adapted to different surface conditions for instance to facilitate crossing of waterways or obstacles where little clearance is required.

Separate track sidelines at stations keep the mainline available for high-speed through travel, if needed. Platforms can be kept short and cost effective due to the high frequency of arriving and departing passenger cabins.
